tangram

Just like the Japanese dissection puzzle, tangram is composed of modular pieces that may be assembled in multiple ways and stimulate the wearer's creativity. The collection answers to the greater challenge of mass consumption by encouraging a less is more approach.

The designer sought to create a product that would encourage people to shop better, less frequently, and more unisex, resulting in a modular collection that comprises five core outfits that can be restyled and assembled to suit the wearers needs. The same outfit never needs to appear the same.

The collection encourages sharing- "one size" can literally fit all. Size-adjustable and unisex pieces of the tangram collection can be shared among friends, family and partners, reducing individual consumption as a result.

Finally, the clothing needed to be engaging and interest us in slowing down and playing with it.
